Frequently Asked Questions
1. What does NUVIO STUDIOS provide on a film set?
NUVIO STUDIOS provides behind the scenes photography, short-form video coverage, and optional interview documentation during film productions. Our goal is to capture authentic moments happening between takes while creating professional marketing assets that productions can use for promotion, press kits, social media campaigns, and film festival submissions.
2. What types of productions do you work on?
NUVIO STUDIOS works with independent short films, feature films, commercials, music videos, and selected creative productions. Our documentation services are designed to support productions of different sizes while maintaining professional quality coverage.
3. Why is behind the scenes documentation important?
Behind the scenes media becomes one of the most valuable marketing assets a production can have. These visuals help promote the film during production, build audience awareness, support film festival submissions, and provide long-term archival documentation of the filmmaking process.
4. What is required before booking NUVIO STUDIOS?
Before booking, productions must complete the NUVIO STUDIOS project form so we can understand the project, schedule, and coverage needs. Once reviewed, we will provide a proposal outlining services, expectations, and availability.
5. Do you require the script before the shoot?
Yes. The script must be delivered via email at least 72 hours before the scheduled shoot date. Reviewing the script allows us to understand key story moments, emotional beats, and scenes that may be important to document.
6. Why do you need the script in advance?
The script helps us anticipate important scenes, character moments, and production elements worth documenting. It allows us to plan coverage so the final BTS media reflects the tone and story of the film.
7. Do you require a call sheet before the shoot?
Yes. The production call sheet must be sent 48 hours before the shoot date via email or text message.
8. Why is the call sheet important?
The call sheet helps us understand the daily production schedule, filming order, location logistics, and key cast and crew members working that day. This allows us to plan our coverage efficiently without interfering with production.
9. How early do you arrive on set?
We typically arrive shortly before the scheduled crew call time. This allows us to meet the production team, review filming areas, and identify key cast and crew before filming begins.
10. Will BTS coverage interrupt filming?
No. Our role is to document the production without interfering with the filming process. We work quietly and respectfully alongside the crew to capture authentic moments while staying out of the way of the camera department and director.
11. What type of moments do you capture?
We capture authentic production moments including rehearsals, crew collaboration, lighting setups, directing moments, actor preparation, and candid behind the scenes interactions throughout the filming day.
12. Do you also record behind the scenes video?
Yes. Depending on the selected coverage option, we can capture short-form BTS video clips that showcase the production environment and filmmaking process.
13. Can you conduct interviews with cast or crew?
Yes. NUVIO STUDIOS can conduct short interviews with directors, actors, or crew members if scheduled with the production team. Interviews are typically arranged during breaks or after filming wraps.
14. How are interviews scheduled?
Interviews are coordinated with the production team to ensure they do not interrupt filming. In some cases, interviews may be scheduled on a separate day if production schedules are tight.
15. How long do you stay on set?
Coverage time depends on the agreed service package or contract terms. Some productions require partial-day coverage while others request extended documentation across multiple filming days.
16. How long does it take to receive the photos and media?
Delivery timelines depend on the size of the production and the volume of media captured. Most projects receive edited BTS media within the agreed delivery timeframe outlined in the contract.
17. Will the photos be edited?
Yes. All delivered images are professionally curated and edited before delivery to ensure they meet professional visual standards.
18. Can productions use the BTS media for marketing?
Yes. Productions can use the delivered media for marketing, social media promotion, film festival submissions, and press materials according to the terms outlined in the contract.
19. Will NUVIO STUDIOS share the photos publicly?
In some cases, NUVIO STUDIOS may feature selected BTS images for portfolio, blog articles, or social media promotion. This is typically discussed and approved with the production beforehand.
20. How do we book NUVIO STUDIOS?
To begin the process, productions should complete the booking form on the NUVIO STUDIOS website. Once submitted, we will review the project and follow up with the next steps.
